Shao Xing @ China

Its the airport again, this time I am in Pudong Shanghai International Airport. Going to Shaoxing China. This is my first time visiting China. There are lots of cities & provinces in this place and I am going to experience ShaoXing, located in the ZheJiang Province, as same as Shanghai & Hangzhou. ShaoXing is one of the developed cities in the province.

Now I know that China is indeed a HUGE country after visiting this country.
From Pudong Shanghai International Airport to ShaoXing, we have to take a 4 hours drive to reach there. Then another 40 minutes drive from our hotel to ShaoXing city area. Then we were told that the distance from Shanghai's bus station to the airport needs a 2 hours drive. Besides that, ShangHai got 2 airports!!! My goodness, this place is like a never ending distance of walking...

Alright, back to the main topic, Shaoxing. The reason of being here is I participated the World Choir Games (As mentioned earlier). After the Austria trip 2 years back, this time the organizer chosen Shaoxing, The Venice of the East. As a Chinese, its not a difficult thing to visit this Chinese ruled country. As usual, the choir games organizer will assigned volunteers to welcome & assist tourists like us. Through this opportunity, I knew our 2 friendly leaders, Mr Lim & Ma Fei (Xiao Ma). From the moment on the way to Shanghai, until I left the place, the experience this country gave me was the need of service quality improvement!! (Of course there are good ones as well but most of them really need to learn what is customer service). But our leaders really did a good job on helping us. They are friendly, helpful & very warm.

The cultureshock for them is, they never expect that we speak mandarin as same as them and we can communicate with them easily. We are foreigners to them and they thought we speak other languages. That's why they were so happy when they knew this. As Xiao Ma's faculty is English, he was prepared to be the translator throughout the trip. Therefore, he is even happier. Haha!

Because of the big event holding in the city, in conjunction, ShaoXing also celebrates the 2500th anniversary of the city. The city added lots of decorations and made a major development which deliver the tourists a beautiful and well organised city. Not only the beautiful scenery but also lots of buntings, banners and posters of the World Choir games. Policemen were everywhere to conduct the traffic and also strict checking wherever you go. This really impressed me...
What to do? Terrorism is getting scarier and for 100% safety, it is essential to be more alert.

Chatted a lot with Xiao Ma. I got a better picture of China. It is true that the over populated issue creates the high pressure of living condition in China. In terms of education, career and lots more. The one child policy still exists. Furthermore, the rapid growth and development of China, really worth a big clap from everybody else.

The similarities of Malaysia & China will be the agricultural industry. Next to all the highways are crops planted by the citizens. In Malaysia, we have plantations like Oil palm, Rubber or paddy fields. In China, varieties of plants & crops are planted together in a big land.
Other than that, the roads in China are really wide and big! Just like what I saw in U.S.
Green activities in China is slowly developing. Recycle bins & No plastic bags rule were seen almost everywhere. As a green warrior, I need to praise them.

Malaysia! Please improve!

China consist lots of ancient beautiful history. This requires to discover, understand, feel and enjoy it slowly. Let me get to know you better in the future. Let's discover this lovely place!

6th World Choir Games

Seriously, no mood to work.....

I am going to China tomorrow! Wheee~
This year's competition is holding in Shao Xing.
Shao Xing appeared in many Chinese fictions especially those action pack with Kung-Fu storyline novels. Most of the people recognized this place by their famous wine, Shao Xing Jiu, as the icon and local specialty for Shao Xing. It is also the hometown of a famous poet, Lu Xun.
It's not as big or developed like Shanghai or Beijing, so I am not sure whether what can I buy.
LOL!

The thing is, I am going there for only 3 days.
Because of work, I have to be back in M'sia on the 17th July 2010.
Damn turn off! RIGHT??!
Ugh...if its not because of working ethics, I will not surrender!
But what to do?

Today gonna crash a friend's place,
Tomorrow going to Singapore as early as 5:30am @_@
Our flight is 10am.
Wish me luck! =)
I hope I will really enjoy this trip even though its only 3 days..

We are participating the Mixed Chamber Choir category
These will be the songs we're singing:
1. Potong Padi
2. Falling Petals in A Rainy Night
3. Ye Lai Xiang
4. Melodies of the Sea
We are quite worry for the competition as we changed the category last minute. Before that, our category was Music & Religion, but the organizer said we can't sing churches songs...and we were like "Hur??!!!!", therefore, we have to practice new songs all over again, and put a lot of effort in it.

Next World Choir Games will be holding in Cincinnati, USA on 2012...

I.....seriously.....want.....to.....go......there......

Failed

Hahaha! I just wanna laugh myself.
Because I failed again!

LOL....Hmm, sometimes, things are not as easy as we thought they are.
Before that, I just thought that I have the potential to be one!
Maybe its the influences from others, TOO MANY positive stuff...
Even my dad also gave me encouragements! (which makes me feel weird too =S)

Anyhow, I don't know I should continue to try it out or not.
But the experience is very fun actually.

Alright! I'll try again next time! =)

Trip to Msia's Glamour Land

Yes, it felt great!
Flight delayed for 15 minutes, delayed my time to have more fun
Touched down on 25th night, 8:30pm
Met S, very happy! Shining as usual.
Called E for dinner. Scream at E's T-shirt, shorts and sling bag look! Hahaha!
Another sumptuous dinner in SS2 with Heineken. (But I didn't touch a drop of it)
Gossips and secrets revealed....
Back to S's house. Gifts surprises, pillow talk to sleep.

Next morning
It's hot! But feels like Summer! Means --> Fabulous!
Became a Fashion consultant early in the morning..
A "customer" asked me what to wear through video calling me! (OMG!)
Rushing downtown...
Amazed by fans of Beast who queue up for the showcase starting in the morning
Brunch at T.Bowl...was late...SORRY GUYS!!!!

Went for babysitting at Denise's..Not exactly babysitting but crash into a mama-talk with Denise & Daphne...Haha! Just being a busybody. Hmm...as a full time mother is not really easy.. from taking care a 'fragile' creature to a mischevious kid then a rebelious teen to a well educated person.

Ok...its...really tough..

But undeniably they are freakingly cute!!

The last time I saw Anderson was a shy little 2 year old kid. And now he has became super active and playful. He is more talkative than before too! He was running here and there, doing role plays (you know...kids!)...and much more funny stuff.

Stepping into July...Durian Season all the way...(eeewww!) I hate Durians..Do you know that I will feel giddy if I am sitting in a car with full of Durians? LOL! I dunnoe why, but I only know that one day I woke up in the morning when I was Sec 2, I cant stand durians since then...

Picture shown was actually a small Durian party at my buddhist centre last week...Erm...and now my refrigerator is full of DURIANS!!! =.=

Was on night shift yesterday..like it as usual! =)

For the 100th time I went to Vivo's within these 2 months.... =.= I ordered the Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Icecream...Yummy!

Guess what? I had a sweet encounter afterthat...Aww! Desserts never fails to make me happy!

Thats why Im lovin' it! *smiles*

There was a really big rainpour this morning. On the way to work, thick stormy clouds spreading..Especially the wind! Its seriously strong! Almost blew me away!

After the rain, its a sunshine day...

Wonder why? Because 2012 is approching! Wahaha!

I was stunned.

Till today, I never expect that death approched me so early..

After reading Chenlin's blog, that picture made me cried.
It really hook up those memories that we were staying just next door
You climbed out to the balcony and just to say hi...
Pass by our door and just have a short chit chat,
Chatting about homework & lecturers,
Laughing the coconut tree on top of my head
Seeing you playing tennis down stairs from our unit and shouting your name:
"Joash!!!!!"

I am very sorry for what had happened.
I will never forget the last message I saw in FB
Everytime when I thought of this, I just cant control my tears.

Life is too too too, very fragile...

A bubble that poofs out without a notice..

God has taken you back from everyone else that knows you.
I really hope it is for good.
Because it is too hard to accept a kind soul has left us in a second.
I believe that you will not want us too hold these grieves for a long time..
